When They Came For My Dog, There Was No One Left To Speak For Me

First it was the orcas, then it was the elephants, now its your cat, dog, and Goldfish.

Say goodbye to your pets.

"Solitary confinement of human prisoners is considered a violation of basic human rights, yet this is essentially what we do to some of our pet animals," says author Jessica Pierce.

Pierce who has written a new book arguing against pet ownership goes on to say that she objects to the "solitary" confinement that fish, hamsters and gerbils and other animals live in. Maybe she needs to stop her holier than thou writing about animals and start learning about them. Some animals like gerbils and hamsters have to be kept isolated in their own cages or they kill each other. Ever seen a male hamster attack and kill another male hamster?  Its not a pretty or "humane" death for the loser. You know, sort of like watching a lion eat a live prey animal in the wild. Not a kind death for that animal either.

That's not all, Pierce uses the platform that National Public Radio (NPR) gives her to shill her perverted ideas that "animal brothels" exist and are a serious concern.  Really? Show me just one case in the last 30 years in America in which a single "animal brothel" has actually been found and busted?

National Public Radio also receives tax payer money to operate.   Do you think they are spending your money well giving a platform and aura of credibility to a woman who wants to take your child's hamster away from them?

According to Pierce: At least 30 percent of "family" dogs and cats never once visit a veterinarian; lonely animals are confined to tanks, cages or backyards

Really? And where are her citations and facts to backup that allegation? And if they don't visit a veterinarian, maybe its because they aren't sick. Ever thought of that one? How many animals in the wild ever get to see a veterinarian?

Its ironic that this story broke at the same time as the op-ed piece that called itself a "study" that claimed that dogs hate to be hugged.

What authors like this and the "dog hug hater" are promoting is using social engineering to promote the idea that no more pets should be bred and all existing pets should be set free from human captivity. Or as these progressives call it, evolving our collective conscious.   You know, like the elephants. And the orcas.

To the animal rights movement pets are slaves, breeding pets is rape, and eating any animal is murder.

Animals are animals. They do not have a sense of morality or the same values we have. Giving human emotions to animals and attributing human emotions to animal behavior is what is true animal abuse and classic First World Narcissism.
