High School Dropout. Drug Addict. Sex Predator. Armed Robber. Private Vigilante.

Scotlund Haisley like the majority of animal rights activists has no documented education in animals. Besides dropping out of high school, this heroin junkie couldn't even read until he was an adult. Like many criminals, he went to work in the 'animal rescue' field for a living.   He started working in animal shelters in Washington, DC, New York City, California and even took a turn with PETA. He had aspirations of stardom that working for a living just wasn't providing him.  He didn't want to clean up after and take care of animals, he wanted stardom, money, prostitutes and drugs.   Cocaine and heroin were his favorites.  

He was quickly hired by pal and fellow sex predator Wayne Pacelle to join the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) running an illegal private SWAT team. HSUS calls it "Emergency Services." Fine words from a vegan lobbyist group that doesn't run any pet shelters in America. After numerous raids of law abiding animal owners, the lawsuits started piling up. The first was Normal Pang of Hawaii. Falsely accused of animal abuse and labeled a hoarder by the media, Pang sued HSUS and Haisley in 2009. The Pang lawsuit exposed that Haisley was the one who developed the fake law enforcement looking badges that Haisley had the HSUS raid teams wearing.
  

“I want the scum to think we are law enforcement,” Graves said Haisley told them.  Graves and Schwartz then took their concern to then-Humane Society of the U.S. president Wayne Pacelle.  “I like the cowboy ways that Scotlund brings to the team,” Graves said Pacelle responded.

The problem is.  HSUS is not law enforcement.  They are a private Washington, DC vegan charity.  They have absolutely no law enforcement authority. 

“HHS [the Hawaiian Humane Society] and HSUS both launched a

media campaign of vilification against [Pang], accusing him of animal

abuse and neglect and other unsupportable acts of criminal conduct."

 Next Haisley led the illegal HSUS raid of Dan Christensen in South Dakota. His goal was to shut down and destroy a highly regarded hunting dog kennel. Dan Christensen fought back and proved that the search warrant was illegal and he had done nothing wrong. As is typical in these cases, the 'rescuers' actually killed 28 of Christensen's dogs through their inept and incompetent care. Christensen sued HSUS and Scotlund Haisley for $5 million dollars.

As part of the Christensen lawsuit an email from Meredith Shields resigning from HSUS came to light in which she stated, “Mr. Haisley told an employee of the Department to wear an HSUS t-shirt to a strip club while on deployment because “you’ll get better lap dances.”” The Christensen case was so egregious that Forrest Lucas of Lucas Oil financed a movie about the case and others like it where innocent American dog breeders have been targeted and framed.

In September of 2010, one year from the date of the illegal raid

that changed his life forever and destroyed his hunting dog kennel, Dan filed a $5 million dollar federal lawsuit against Second Chance Rescue, HSUS, Scotlund Haisley, Turner County, and the County Sheriff for going along with it all. Dan sued for the deprivation of his Fourth, Fifth and Fourteenth Amendment rights, malicious prosecution, emotional distress, criminal trespass, and intentional damage to private property. Here's a picture from the illegal Christensen raid.  Look how clean and healthy the dog looks.  The white parts of its coat are almost spotless.  The lawsuit revealed a number of hidden facts about the HSUS raid team from the mass resignations from those who didn't want to work for a drug addict to discoveries of his sex pervert ways.    After the lawsuits and controversies started piling up over HSUS's raids, he moved over to leading In Defense of Animals (IDA), lasting there less than a year.

Haisley then capitalized on his base of cult followers to form his own private vigilante force known as the Animal Rescue Corps (ARC). ARC was initially financed by Ady Gil, the same animal rights activist who gave a pile of money to the Sea Shepherd Society.  Haisley specialized in targeting the poor and the elderly for destruction. The media couldn't get enough of this dirt bag. He was labeled a hero and reporters fawned at his every word.   

Even when his drug use was front and center, reporters lapped it up.  When this heroin junkie was violently sick in front of a reporter in Nashville, Tennessee, he played a victim card and claimed the 'ammonia fumes' were slowing killing him. 

Conditions on a breeder's property during an animal rescue operation near Nashville were so toxic that the leader of the rescue team nearly died from ammonia poisoning.  ABC News 5, April 19, 2018. 

Local reporters gushed that he was suffering from these toxic environments these elderly animal abusers were living in and gee whiz!  This hero almost died and had to have a blood transfusion to live!   Let's think about this shall we?  Not one reporter in Nashville spent one moment asking why their vulnerable elderly were living in a supposedly toxic environment that almost killed a man 30 years their junior.   Why is that?  Why was an out of town junkie's word taken over that of their local residents?   Why didn't anyone spend 30 seconds on Doctor Google to find out that a blood transfusion is not any recognized treatment for breathing in ammonia fumes.  

After terrorizing Americans across this nation in many southern states, South Dakota, Iowa, Hawaii and others, he was finally ousted at ARC in September 2018. Not because he was a drug addict and criminal. Oh no! He was thrown out for embezzling money from what already is a con to start with. He wasn't sharing the wealth but was taking too much for himself!  His $100,000 salary just wasn't enough to support a wife and three kids with prostitutes and drugs on the side.  

In typical Haisley style he told an unquestioning media and his tens of thousands of cult followers that he was retiring 'for his health' because raiding animal breeders had put him in liver failure.  Dozens of sob stories followed along with GoFundMe campaigns to put more money in Haisley's pocket.

Funny enough, I don't know a single animal breeder who has ever died from liver failure - caused by their breeding animals.  

After leaving ARC, he was quickly arrested in Maryland for domestic battery. Turns out besides being an adrenaline junkie who terrorizes the elderly for kicks, he likes to beat up his wife!   Who's shocked by this?

According to the arrest report, complainant Lynne Haisley, wife of Scotlund Haisley for 16 years and mother of their three minor children, told responding police officers that Haisley “struck her approximately five times with a closed fist. Then he grabbed her by the neck, and began choking her. Ms. Haisley could not recall if he used one or two hands to choke her. Ms. Haisley estimated that her husband choked her for 30-60 seconds.

His arrests in Maryland for domestic battery and violating the subsequent protective orders were quickly followed by an arrest in Washington, DC for two armed robberies of the same Subway store. Yep, armed robbery!  He held a gun to the back of an employee's head to steal $300. 

His past decades of being a sheriff's darling and leading private vigilante SWAT teams is over.  At the end of 2019 he was sentenced to 46 months in prison for armed robbery.  I'm sure once he's released he'll start a new career as a misunderstood 'artist' like convicted university bomber Rodney Coronado.   Why not?  After all, when it comes to animals, Americans have proven they are pretty gullible.   As for the media, 'animal abuse' stories are a proven money maker.  They could care less that most of their stories are lies from start to finish.

Does a Virginia Sheriff Hang Out with Strippers?

Dear Virginia Legislators,

Happy "Independence" Day 2014!  I say that in quotes because Virginians have no independence.  Today we live under tyranny.  

In 2008, the Virginia state legislature passed an unconstitutional civil asset forfeiture law for animals.   Were you one of the ones that violated the United States and Virginia constitutions? If so, you should be ashamed of yourself. Thanks to your efforts, animal rights terrorists are operating state wide seizing and destroying animals and their owners lives, for ideology and profit. The sponsor of that illegal bill famously stated that "we have to pass it to see how it will be implemented." My, my how familiar those words ring. Perhaps it is because Nancy Pelosi copied them just a few years later.

Over the Fourth of July weekend while Americans everywhere celebrated Independence Day and LIBERTY, a Virginian lost their liberty.  As a member of the Virginia legislature, you are to blame. You brought about this situation when you passed a law stripping all Virginians of their constitutional rights to property.    In Page County during the Independence Holiday, Sheriff John B. Thomas, turned over the powers of his office to an out of state animal rights vigilante from the "Animal Rescue Corps."    This group, known as ARC, claims they "save" animals.   What they really do is conduct terrorism raids for profit. ARC does not operate an animal shelter.  They have no facilities.  They are simply a group of adrenaline junkies, led by a high school dropout, and backed by Hollywood money. They raid people for fun and kicks and because it gets their leader, Scotlund Haisley, better lap dances with strippers. Why is Sheriff Thomas hanging out with a man that destroys American lives just so he can get premier stripper services?

The Animal Rescue Corps is founded out of Fairfax, California, though they operate out of a east coast base in Washington, DC.   Crossing state lines into the Commonwealth of Virginia to conduct an animal raid is a violation of the federal Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act, no matter if Sheriff John "I hang with stripper's pals" Thomas invited them in or not.   As of 2012, Scotlund Haisley pays himself over $98,000 to lead these raids.  I wonder how much he's raking in today here in 2014?   The animals that Haisley steals are usually turned over to his pals who resell them through their non-profits while Haisley simply rakes in the profits from the raid itself and preens for the camera.  Back in the old fashioned crime days, these people were usually called "fences."  Today they are celebrated and lauded.  

This turn of events isn't surprising given how Sheriff Thomas is padding his office's budget with grants  and "equitable sharing" from the federal Civil Asset Forfeiture Fund and a grant from the USDA to buy two new patrol cars.   You may wonder why the USDA, the Department of Agriculture is funding law enforcement nationwide when that's not their job or mission.   It comes as no surprise to me, since this agency is already buying sub-machine guns to go after that felonious lettuce menacing our nation.    

But back to that federal asset forfeiture.  Sheriff John Thomas wrote a Memorandum of Understanding regarding these new federal asset forfeiture funds on December 13, 2013.  He stated, "There are no local tax dollars so there is no fiscal impact other than a potential General Fund savings to taxpayers."   Nice redirection.  He's right, these aren't "local tax dollars."  Instead, they consist of money taken away from taxpayers in other jurisdictions.  Not nice.  Not nice at all.  Money taken from "local" tax payers is also put into this federal fund and distributed across the nation to local law enforcement to ramp up their militarization.  But what does he want this money for?  Besides a brand new firing range, he wants new equipment for his sniper team.   Sniper team?   Why does Page County have a sniper team?  Have you seen Page County lately?   Page County is a depopulated back waters mountainous county with only 24,000 residents.  What the hell does the Sheriff need a sniper team for?   Are they hunting deer for him?  

This Independence Day, I demand that Sheriff Thomas and his animal rights pals respect American liberty, the rule of law, and due process for all.  Put down the guns, stop the militarization, and defund that sniper team.  You don't need it.  

Virginia Sheriff Invites Dirtbag Vigilante to Raid Citizen

Sheriff John B. Thomas of Page County has violated the Virginia and United States Constitutions, and the federal Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act by inviting in a dirtbag animal rights activist into Page County, Virginia to raid a local citizen. Scotlund Haisey of the “Animal Rescue Corps” has never graduated high school and has no demonstrated education in animals or the law, yet he runs his own private SWAT Team stealing animals away from Americans for profit. What part of that is right or legal? 

Scotlund Haisley is featured in my upcoming book, The Art of Terror: Inside the Animal Rights Movement, for his illegal raids of pet breeders nationwide. Haisley is currently defending against a $5 million dollar lawsuit in South Dakota for his illegal raid of a dog breeder. This is just one article on his illegal raid activities and impersonation of law enforcement. In the South Dakota lawsuit it came out that Haisley likes to conduct raids for the thrills and kicks but also because it gets him better lap dances from strippers. Just what kind of company does the Page County Sheriff like to keep? Haisley was also accused of stealing two horses in Iowa. Getting better lap dances from strippers has nothing to do with proper care of animals. 

According to this article in the Daily News-Record, Haisley conducted this raid in Page County Virginia, yet he has no law enforcement authority, no education in evidence collection or the law, and is so uneducated he didn't learn to read until he was 16. Why did the Page County Sheriff allow an out of state private vigilante to conduct a law enforcement raid? In the article on his Virginia raid, Haisley said, "A lot of suffering ended here today."

You might think that is a GOOD thing, until you know the outcome of his raid of Lasandra Walter of Tennessee. Haisley raided her and stole all of her valuable exotic birds. He described her raid as, "These are the worst conditions for birds I've ever seen," except for the fact that he has no education in proper bird care to be making that statement. One of Haisley’s raid members was Beth Lindenau who runs The Bailey Foundation out of Maryland. The world exploded in horror when 40 dead animals were later found at Beth Lindenau’s house in Columbia, Maryland. There were 40 dead animals in cages and another 19 dead animals in the freezer. Electricity, heat, and water had been turned off and Lindenau walked away from the townhouse and was living elsewhere. She didn't give a damn about those animals. Some of those dead animals were probably the ones stolen from Lasandra Walters. Just how are they better off now? The birds owned by Lasandra Walter, an elderly cancer patient, were alive and well under her care. Under Haisley’s pals care, animals DIE. 

Lest you think I’m exaggerating about this case and point out that in the Page County Raid, the "state veterinarian" deemed the conditions deplorable, you should know that the Virginia State Veterinarians office was infiltrated by animal rights activists a long time ago. I discussed the infiltration of the Virginia State Veterinarians’ office by animal rights kooks in my last book, Staring the Dragon in the Eye: The Hidden Victims of Animal Extremists. 

What I want to know is, where are the actual licensed and educated animal professionals in the Page County Raid? Where are the actual professional law enforcement officers upholding the law? If conditions were so bad that they justified a raid of a private citizen, where is the professionalism on the part of the Sheriff's Office in conducting this case? Why did he have to go out of state to get a private vigilante team run by a man with a history of lawsuits to conduct the raid? 

It’s about time that Virginia citizens rise up and demand that their elected Sheriff’s obey the law and defend the Constitution before they come for your animals. Out of state vigilantes have no business conducting raids and seizures of Virginia property.

Cyber lynch mob attempts to destroy New York dog breeder

On the internet there are multiple roving bands of animal rights activists who from long distances set up cyber lynch mobs against specific targets they have identified.  One mob targeted and took down the Olympic Animal Sanctuary Washington only for some members of that internet mob to turn their attentions to a border collie breeder in New York state just 24 hours later.  There are two reasons behind this campaign, 1.) to put pressure on legislators to pass a bill to outlaw dog breeding in New York and 2.) money.  It's always about the money.  No, not the money the breeder is making, but the massive profit these cyber "rescuers" are making.  All tax free, mostly undocumented.  

At the end of December 2013, a massive cyber warfare started against a breeder called Flat Creek Border Collies in New York state, led by an animal "rescuer" named Eric Bellows.  The first thing to keep in mind is that almost none of these people involved in this situation have actually ever seen the conditions they testify to extensively on the internet.  They usually have one or two local people ready to take money from the public for the "rescue" and dozens of homes lined up to resell the animals too, but it is nothing more than a gigantic theft ring that law enforcement all too often goes along with.   It is long past time this was ended!   Would it be legal if someone started cyber warfare against you to take your car away from you because they feel they had a better garage than you do?  Or if they feel that their brand of gasoline is better than the brand you are using?  Of course not!  Theft is theft, no matter what your intentions.

Really?  Why aren't those 50 homes interested in helping save a dog from a local animal shelter instead of stealing one away from a home it already has? Why is it being celebrated that 50 homes are already lined up to accept stolen goods? Why is this ethical?

Mary Meyers goes on to say that she has just "rescued" a dog herself. I wonder how she did that. Was it the same way she's advocating here? Stealing a dog out of someone else's yard? If so, then the Wisconsin authorities need to investigate Mary Meyers.  Theft is theft no matter what the property is.  How would you like it if Mary Meyers decided she wanted YOUR dog?  

Leading the lynch mob against Flat Creek is local animal rights activist Eric Bellows who runs the "Pack Ethic Rescue, Inc."  Me thinks he needs to reconsider that name.  Then again, with the word "ethic" in his name, he must be ethical, right?   He posted dozens of posts per day the first week of January 2014 about how the dogs were literally freezing to death and absolutely no one would help him. He posted inflammatory postings like, "This dog waited to be let inside, circling every now and again to remove the sting from her frozen paws. I fear what is waiting inside..." Just how exactly would he know this? And why would he fear what is waiting inside? Or other hysteria drawn posts like this one. "Let me know what you guys think, I am going nuts here... Their eyes are burning a hole in my heart, I can't get their eyes out of my head... Sticking out from inside those barrels pleading for help, shivering...."  Again, how would he know from a photograph that these dogs are shivering?  Members of the internet lynch mob who jumped on the bandwagon posted conflicting stories about just how many dogs were "freezing to death" or "starving to death."  When that doesn't work, there's always the old chestnut of "dead dogs in a wheel barrel."   Funny how there is always a wheel barrel and it always has dead dogs in it.  You'd think these animal rights activists could think up something new once in a while.  

How many dogs are there?

"The investigated tells me that there is only 30 dogs there... Really because when I went yesterday there was 30 in the first 4 pens..." Eric Bellows. Facebook post January 1, 2014.

"By now these pups will almost be snowed in and the rest of the almost 100 dogs on the property are trying to survive the storm called Hercules which will be dumping between 12-15 inches and be minus degrees with wind chill." Eric Bellows. Facebook post January 3, 2014.  

"So along with overlooking the living conditions and lack of proper shelter but during the police visit it was determined that even though she has 60 + dogs, there are only 47 rabies compliant dogs on the property. Eric Bellows. Facebook post January 3, 2014.

"So I just can't get straight answers, the police are calling this a hoax? I wish it was. They are telling me there are only 30 dogs on this property. Well when I went there three days ago the second you get out of your care to your left is at least 12 dogs, the "house yard" had around 15 Shitzu and 5 border collies, to the right of that at least 14 puppies ranging from 10 weeks to 6 months, beyond them 2 yards with 6 dogs a yard, beyond that is more yards more dogs, do I have to keep going to show that the police math is off? "On one hand you are being told to bring all pets inside to protect from elements yet on the other we are forced to watch 60 plus dogs brave the elements." Eric Bellows. Facebook post January 4, 2014.

"When I was there, there were at least 70 to 80 dogs running around that property," said Bellows. "There was no bedding except for old, wet, nasty stuff that was in there. When I first got out of my car there were over 40 dogs within the first six or seven yards."

40 dogs in six or seven yards?  And you believe that? And just how would this animal rights activist know anything about their rabies shot records?  He can't even make up his mind how many dogs are there even when he claims he has visited this property in person.  

What kind of dogs are they?  

Not only that but the actual breeds started changing and activists were claiming that not only were there hundreds of dogs there but there were French and English bulldogs, Shih Tzu’s, Chihauhau’s, Scottish Terriers, and later they started claiming Havanese were there too.  And the puppies!  Oh, help me save the puppies!!!   Eric Bellows reported that they had 14 puppies they couldn't sell that he had tried to buy off of them.  Interesting.  Now if they had 14 puppies for sale, then why couldn't he buy them?  That doesn't even add up.  Then it was 25 puppies with many more coming from multiple pregnant dogs.  Eric Bellows is not a veterinarian and has not examined any of these dogs.  He cannot possibly know if any of them are pregnant or not.  But rampant speculation like this is designed to drive up internet hysteria.

"I can not confirm the report of 2 dead dogs being removed this morning. What I can say is that when I first went there on New Years Eve there were around 11 puppies on premises. Eric Bellows. Facebook post January 4, 2014.

He can not confirm?  That's sort of like the old, "when did you stop beating your wife" line.... 

He posted aerial photos of the property taken from online map websites claiming the property was covered in dogs, he posted on Facebook the statement that, "every inch is covered with dogs." He posted at least 18 inflammatory stories about this breeder on January 3rd alone claiming multiple dogs were freezing and starving to death and begging for help. Others starting claiming the local authorities were "covering up" the problem leading to the lynch mob becoming even more inflamed. People were calling the local and state authorities to include politicians and the Governor, and dozens of members of the media from foreign countries and other states demanding that something be done. NYS Assemblyman James Tedisco jumped on the bandwagon and urged people to call the Governor to press him to sign the anti-dog breeder bill that was on his desk. I think we just uncovered the motivation for this cyber lynch mob.

When people attempted to point out the lies in this cyber lynch mob whipped up by Eric Bellows, they were met with comments like this:  "If all you breeders would commit suicide it would be a much nicer world!!"  Tim Ostrander, Facebook post January 5, 2014. 

Instead of asking these people if they had ever been to America, let alone New York, and how exactly they knew what was going on there, politicians such as James Tedisco jumped to help destroy a dog breeder.  Each and every bureaucrat that was contacted assured these lynch mob members that they would conduct an investigation into the target instead of demanding proof of their outrageous allegations.  The state police and state veterinarians visited the property to inspect it three times in as many days and not a single violation of New York law was found.  All the dogs were found to have food, water, shelter, heat, and were reportedly brought inside at night.  Yet Eric Bellows kept up the daily cyber harassment.

"Collies aren't Siberian Huskies and they're not sled dogs," says Eric Bellows, an animal rights activist, who lives near the Rappa Road farm, "They can take the cold but this kind of cold is on a whole other level."   WNYT. 

And what exactly makes him an expert on the border collie breed?  Absolutely nothing!  The activists just howled louder screaming that dogs were in immediate danger of freezing to death, that all of the dogs were "limping" and other hysterical accusations, and hard-hearted authorities wouldn't do anything about it and were "covering up" something.  Just how can you tell all the way from California that a dog in someone's back yard in New York is "limping" anyway?   Other activists started passing around the rumor that the dog breeder was failing to provide any veterinarian care to her dogs. 

The State Police were forced to issue a statement:  "Several visits to the kennel have not revealed any violations of New York State Law or local codes. The Owner of the kennel has provided shelter, food and heated water as required."

The truth means absolutely nothing to animal rights activists.  They started calling the Governor and fellow animal rights lawyers to see if they could sue for custody of the breeders dogs.    Then Eric Bellows posted "Matt Albert from NY Citizens Against Puppy Mills and Rich Rosenthal from The Lexus Project are working on helping the dogs of Flat Creek.  They will be going before the judge at 2:00 at the Montgomery County Supreme Court."  January 6, 2014.   What is important about this post is not only that private citizens are apparently going to court to somehow shut down a lawful breeder and potentially steal their property, but the comments.   Immediately dozens of supporters of this lynch mob posted their support and more importantly, their locations.

Immediately after that on Eric Bellows Facebook page was a posting that said, “Help Pack Ethic Rescue Inc. every time you shop” and a link to give him donations.  Why again are the New York authorities giving one ounce of time to these activists?  Eric Bellows is shilling for cash, while the vast majority of his supporters do not live there. They are obviously NOT in New York and have no clue what is actually happening there.  They have zero right to have a say in anything going on in Montgomery County, New York.  They aren't taxpayers and they aren't voters.   Tell them to shut up about their complaints and direct their attention to their own back yards and leave New York alone.  Additionally, an investigation needs to be made into Eric Bellows who led this effort.  

If you look into his back story, Eric Bellows has quite a history.   He was part of the disgraced gansta “Rescue Ink” scam and went out on his own to form another rescue to collect donations from the public.   I found an interesting blog that covered a case of mass hysteria on Facebook that the blog claims was founded by Eric Bellows.  In this case it was a story about nails being found in scattered dog food at dog parks. The fake story was cross posted on Facebook over 15,000 times with over 12,000 comments to the story.  The blog claims that he received over 1,000 new followers to his "rescue" as a result of his heart rendering "nails in dog food" pleas.  I wonder how many of those followed up with monetary donations to this dirt bag?    He also apparently has frequent health issues which require pleas for more monetary donations.  Seriously?  I'm supposed to believe this man has suffered from 13 concussions in his lifetime and is seeking treatment from 11 specialists?  Who the hell is paying for that?  This also makes me wonder just how he thinks he's capable of saving 100+ dogs from Flat Creek if he gets a concussion every time he turns around?  Turns out he was also involved in the campaign to destroy a long time Rottweiler breeder in Wallkill, New York.   Just what exactly does this internet cowboy know about Rottweiler’s?  Here's the real story behind what happened at Wallkill.  But there's more to this, so much more.  One of the serial dirtbags behind the lynch mob that destroyed the Olympic Animal Sanctuary was Scotlund Haisley.  Funny enough, Eric Bellows tagged some of his Facebook posts about Flat Creek with Scotlund Haisley's name.  I wonder who is going to be the next target of one of Haisley's illegal raids?  Will it be Flat Creek?  Only time will tell.  

What I really want to know is, how can I tap into this never ending supply of gullible people on the Internet so I can sit on my rear day after day posting inflammatory stories about strangers on Facebook and get people to donate money to me to support my lifestyle and destroy the livelihoods of others.  That's a talent I just don't seem to have.
